I've designed and built multi-million dollar homes and very very affordable homes. This customer, with this VERY efficient and affordable custom design achieved a level of interior design that ranks with any home 10 times its price. Amazing job at working with-in a budget to create a masterfully detailed yet affordable home. Check out what our customer said,
"When we began researching and looking for a builder, we came across Homes by Josh Doyle. Every single house they posted looked beautiful...and expensive. We assumed they would be way out of our price range, so we started to meet with other builders instead. After meeting with other builders, we soon realized that our budget limited us to a cookie-cutter home with limited flexibility in terms of design. It was at this point that we decided to meet with HBJD, just to see how much it would cost to build a truly custom home.
At our initial appointment with Josh, we discussed what we were looking for and what our budget was. It didn’t take long for him to pull out floor plans that fell into our price range. Although they have a few floor plans on their website, Josh has hundreds more in his office. We began to hone in on a plan that matched our ideas and vision, and then the fun began. Josh allowed us to modify literally any aspect of the plan, and he would redesign it in real time as we watched. When we met with Josh again to review the final pricing and options that were included and...IT WAS IN OUR BUDGET. We couldn’t believe it and, just like that, we were on our way to having our own HBJD home.
One thing that sets HBJD apart from other builders is how efficient and flexible they are in terms of design change. We emailed countless times throughout our build with upgrades or layout changes we wanted to make, and they would provide updated drawings and any associated costs in a timely manner. The fact that they catered to our every thought without hesitation shows just how much they care about the customer. We were never told that we were being annoying or making too many changes, and every person we met with along the way treated us like family. The other thing that puts HBJD ahead of the competition is your ability to do some things yourself. If we felt that we had the skill set to do something ourselves, HBJD would allow us to do so. We did our own cubbies in the mudroom, shelves and backsplash in the kitchen, and shiplap over the fireplace. This freedom is a great way to save some extra money along the way, especially if you are capable of putting in your own flooring, tile, or something like that. Doug was our field manager through the build and our main point of contact. He made the entire process of building a house easier than we could have ever imagined. He was always there to fix any issues that came up, and he maintained a positive and stress-free attitude the entire time. He would keep us in the loop during every step of the way, and you could tell he truly cared about us. He never treated us like we were just another house on his schedule, and we are grateful for that. Doug is just a normal, down-to-earth guy that is always keeping your best interest in mind. I can’t tell you how many times I would text Doug with a question or problem, and he would be right there to answer or fix it. Doug felt like a friend helping us out the whole time, and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. It’s unbelievable how involved he is considering he handles half the houses in Michigan. If you get the chance to work with him you will not be disappointed. If you’re reading this and considering HBJD for your new home, stop reading right now and call them to set up an appointment. Did you do it? Don’t be like we were and assume there’s no way you can afford them. They aren’t joking when they say they’ll design a home for any budget. If we could do it, so can you. It seems like yesterday we were looking at all their posts and albums wondering what it’d be like to have a HBJD home. Well, I can now tell you from experience, it’s way easier than you could have ever imagined. You could spend another year “liking” and commenting on every album they upload, or you could just give them a call and before you know it the album you’re liking is your own. "
